발람!(7.27목)

[민22:18-35]
18 발람이 발락의 신하들에게 대답하여 이르되 발락이 그 집에 가득한 은금을 내게 줄지라도 내가 능히 야훼 내 하나님의 말씀을 어겨 덜하거나 더하지 못하겠노라
19 그런즉 이제 너희도 이 밤에 여기서 유숙하라 야훼께서 내게 무슨 말씀을 더하실는지 알아보리라
20 밤에 하나님이 발람에게 임하여 이르시되 그 사람들이 너를 부르러 왔거든 일어나 함께 가라 그러나 내가 네게 이르는 말만 준행할지니라
21 발람이 아침에 일어나서 자기 나귀에 안장을 지우고 모압 고관들과 함께 가니
22 그가 감으로 말미암아 하나님이 진노하시므로 야훼의 사자가 그를 막으려고 길에 서니라 발람은 자기 나귀를 탔고 그의 두 종은 그와 함께 있더니
23 나귀가 야훼의 사자가 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 길에 선 것을 보고 길에서 벗어나 밭으로 들어간지라 발람이 나귀를 길로 돌이키려고 채찍질하니
24 야훼의 사자는 포도원 사이 좁은 길에 섰고 좌우에는 담이 있더라
25 나귀가 야훼의 사자를 보고 몸을 담에 대고 발람의 발을 그 담에 짓누르매 발람이 다시 채찍질하니
26 야훼의 사자가 더 나아가서 좌우로 피할 데 없는 좁은 곳에 선지라
27 나귀가 야훼의 사자를 보고 발람 밑에 엎드리니 발람이 노하여 자기 지팡이로 나귀를 때리는지라
28 야훼께서 나귀 입을 여시니 발람에게 이르되 내가 당신에게 무엇을 하였기에 나를 이같이 세 번을 때리느냐
29 발람이 나귀에게 말하되 네가 나를 거역하기 때문이니 내 손에 칼이 있었더면 곧 너를 죽였으리라
30 나귀가 발람에게 이르되 나는 당신이 오늘까지 당신의 일생 동안 탄 나귀가 아니냐 내가 언제 당신에게 이같이 하는 버릇이 있었더냐 그가 말하되 없었느니라
31 그 때에 야훼께서 발람의 눈을 밝히시매 야훼의 사자가 손에 칼을 빼들고 길에 선 것을 그가 보고 머리를 숙이고 엎드리니
32 야훼의 사자가 그에게 이르되 너는 어찌하여 네 나귀를 이같이 세 번 때렸느냐 보라 내 앞에서 네 길이 사악하므로 내가 너를 막으려고 나왔더니
33 나귀가 나를 보고 이같이 세 번을 돌이켜 내 앞에서 피하였느니라 나귀가 만일 돌이켜 나를 피하지 아니하였더면 내가 벌써 너를 죽이고 나귀는 살렸으리라
34 발람이 야훼의 사자에게 말하되 내가 범죄하였나이다 당신이 나를 막으려고 길에 서신 줄을 내가 알지 못하였나이다 당신이 이를 기뻐하지 아니하시면 나는 돌아가겠나이다
35 야훼의 사자가 발람에게 이르되 그 사람들과 함께 가라 내가 네게 이르는 말만 말할지니라 발람이 발락의 고관들과 함께 가니라

18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
23 And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
24 But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
25 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.
26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
28 And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.
31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

한국교회안외 발람을 나귀보다도 못하다는 인식이 있는데
오늘 날 한국교회에 발람만한 예언자가 어디 있는가?
아니 성경전체에서 발람만한 믿음의 사람이 몇 명이나 되겠는가?
무엇보다 하나님의 음성에 귀 기울이고 순종하고 순종하는 뛰어난 영성가가 아닌가?
은과 그보다도 하나님의 말씀이 먼저인 믿음의 사람이 아닌가?
발람은 그 어떤 선지자보다 하나님을 경외한 선지자이다
마치 출애굽의 광야에 아름답게 피어난 꽃과 같은 아름다운 이야기가 아닌가?
하나님은 아름다운 이름! 발람의 이야기를 역사에 남기셨다. 발람의 이야기가 빠진다 한들 전혀 이상하지 않을것 같은데도...

발람의 믿음을 소유하라!
아멘

하나님이 저주하지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 저주하며 야훼께서 꾸짖지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 꾸짖겠습니까!
주여 저에게 발람의 믿음을 부어주소서
소망합니다 결단합니다 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다 아멘
