늙은 종!(6.1목)

[창24:48-67]
48 내 주인 아브라함의 하나님 야훼께서 나를 바른 길로 인도하사 나의 주인의 동생의 딸을 그의 아들을 위하여 택하게 하셨으므로 내가 머리를 숙여 그에게 경배하고 찬송하였나이다
49 이제 당신들이 인자함과 진실함으로 내 주인을 대접하려거든 내게 알게 해 주시고 그렇지 아니할지라도 내게 알게 해 주셔서 내가 우로든지 좌로든지 행하게 하소서
50 라반과 브두엘이 대답하여 이르되 이 일이 야훼께로 말미암았으니 우리는 가부를 말할 수 없노라
51 리브가가 당신 앞에 있으니 데리고 가서 야훼의 명령대로 그를 당신의 주인의 아들의 아내가 되게 하라
52 아브라함의 종이 그들의 말을 듣고 땅에 엎드려 야훼께 절하고
53 은금 패물과 의복을 꺼내어 리브가에게 주고 그의 오라버니와 어머니에게도 보물을 주니라
54 이에 그들 곧 종과 동행자들이 먹고 마시고 유숙하고 아침에 일어나서 그가 이르되 나를 보내어 내 주인에게로 돌아가게 하소서
55 리브가의 오라버니와 그의 어머니가 이르되 이 아이로 하여금 며칠 또는 열흘을 우리와 함께 머물게 하라 그 후에 그가 갈 것이니라
56 그 사람이 그들에게 이르되 나를 만류하지 마소서 야훼께서 내게 형통한 길을 주셨으니 나를 보내어 내 주인에게로 돌아가게 하소서
57 그들이 이르되 우리가 소녀를 불러 그에게 물으리라 하고
58 리브가를 불러 그에게 이르되 네가 이 사람과 함께 가려느냐 그가 대답하되 가겠나이다
59 그들이 그 누이 리브가와 그의 유모와 아브라함의 종과 그 동행자들을 보내며
60 리브가에게 축복하여 이르되 우리 누이여 너는 천만인의 어머니가 될지어다 네 씨로 그 원수의 성 문을 얻게 할지어다
61 리브가가 일어나 여자 종들과 함께 낙타를 타고 그 사람을 따라가니 그 종이 리브가를 데리고 가니라
62 그 때에 이삭이 브엘라해로이에서 왔으니 그가 네게브 지역에 거주하였음이라
63 이삭이 저물 때에 들에 나가 묵상하다가 눈을 들어 보매 낙타들이 오는지라
64 리브가가 눈을 들어 이삭을 바라보고 낙타에서 내려
65 종에게 말하되 들에서 배회하다가 우리에게로 마주 오는 자가 누구냐 종이 이르되 이는 내 주인이니이다 리브가가 너울을 가지고 자기의 얼굴을 가리더라
66 종이 그 행한 일을 다 이삭에게 아뢰매
67 이삭이 리브가를 인도하여 그의 어머니 사라의 장막으로 들이고 그를 맞이하여 아내로 삼고 사랑하였으니 이삭이 그의 어머니를 장례한 후에 위로를 얻었더라

48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter unto his son.
49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.
50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
51 Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the LORD hath spoken.
52 And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.
53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.
54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.
55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.
56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.
60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.
63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

남자와 여자가 만나서 결혼을 하고
후손을 통하여 그 수를 더해가는 것
하나님이 땅에 충만하라고 말씀하셨던 창조의 목적에 순응하는 것이니 하나님도 기뻐하시는 일인것이다
또한 남녀의 애틋한 사랑과 자녀에 대한 사랑에서 하나님의 사랑과 기쁨, 감격을 조금이나마 경험할 수 있음이니 결혼은 정말로 기적같은 사건인것이다.
그래서 인생에서 가장 큰 일인 것이다 결혼은...

특별히 믿는 이들에겐 오늘 이삭과 리브가처럼 하나님의 인도하심을 따라 베필을 정함이 마땅할것이다

그렇치만 오늘 본문에서 내가 도전받고 은혜받는 것은
아브라함의 종으로만 불리우는 늙은 종의 믿음이다
이름도 없는 종!
아브라함에게도 그 신실함을 인정함을 받을 뿐만 아니라
어떤 상황에서도 하나님께 기도하고 하나님을 경배하며 찬송하는 믿음의 종!
우리는 살면서 너무 많은 이름으로 불리우길 원하며 그렇치 않으면 섭섭하고 분노한다.
나 또한 마찬가지다
오늘 본문을 통하여 주님은
내가 그저 이름도 없이 빛도 없이 묵묵히 하나님의 산을 오르고 내려오는 종이 되라고 말씀하시는 것 같다
이름이 없을 지라도 사람과 하나님께 인정받으면 그것으로  족하지 않은가! 아멘
기도가 채 끝나기도 전에 하나님께서 응답하여 주시는 사람이 무슨 세상의 영광을 바라겠는가?
혹 영광이 있으면 주인에게 돌리면서 뒤로 물러설줄 아는 자로 살자 남은 인생을...

좋은게 있으면 선교지 형제들에게 먼저 챙겨주고,
칭찬받을 일이 있으면 선교지 형제들에게 돌리고...
선교사는 선교지를 섬기는 종이요
주님을 섬기는 종인것이다
그 이상은 죄이다
아멘

주님 제가 종입니다
이름을 얻고자 하지 않겠습니다
선교지에서도 하나님께에도 그저 늙은 종으로 남기를 소망합니다 그동안의 욕심을 회개합니다
기꺼이 사람들의 종이 되셔서 섬김의 자리에 서셨던 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다 아멘
